California State General Educational Development (GED) Testing

Required Eligibility Criteria: Bidders must be currently certified by the General Educational Development Testing Service to score GED tests. Bidders must be legally constituted and qualified to do business within the State of California. If required by law, any business entity required to be registered with the Secretary of State must submit a current Certificate of Good Standing issued by the California Secretary of State.
Funding Description: The California Department of Education (CDE), through this request for proposals, is seeking a four year contract to score and report tests for the General Educational Development (GED) program in California. This allows persons 17 and older, who have not completed high school, to test and if successful, obtain the high school equivalency certificate. The contractor must score multiple choice tests and essays in English and Spanish and provide test results to test takers and the Department of Education. The contractor must support about 200 statewide testing centers and maintain certification with the General Educational Development Testing Service to score GED tests.
