The SES provider must have a two-year demonstrated record of effectiveness in increasing student academic proficiency through tutoring services provided beyond the school day and in the subject(s) identified in the application. The SBE-approved provider works with designated local educational agencies (LEAs) to provide tutoring services for eligible students (from Program Improvement schools and low-income families) in mathematics, science, and English-language arts. Parents select the SES provider.
