Getting Results Youth Development & Closing the Achievement Gap

Eligible Applicants: Individuals, institutions of higher education, local educational agencies, nonprofit organizations, other organizations or agencies

Required Eligibility Criteria: Bidders with at least 48 months of experience in developing and managing projects providing technical assistance and support to Safe and Drug-Free Schools and Communities (SDFSC), Tobacco-Use Prevention Education (TUPE), After School Education and Safety (ASES), or 21st Century Community Learning Center (CCLC) Program grantees similar to that described in the RFP may submit proposals. The bidder's experience must include developing training or other technical assistance, developing research-based documents for publication, and maintaining a related website.

Funding Description: Through this Request for Proposals (RFP), the California Department of Education seeks proposals from eligible bidders to provide on-line training for all school and afterschool staff.  Priority access to the training will be given to staff at schools and after school programs serving students attending local educational agencies that do not make Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) and are identified for Program Improvement (PI) under the No Child Left Behind (NCLB) Act of 2001.
