State Fiscal Stabilization Fund

Eligible Applicants: Institutions of higher education, local educational agencies

Required Eligibility Criteria: School districts, county offices of education, direct funded charter schools will receive SFSF funding to offset reductions to state general purpose (e.g. revenue limits) and categorical program funding reduced pursuant to Senate Bill 4 (Chapter 12, Statutes 2009-10, Third Extraordinary Session). Public IHEs are eligible to receive funding to offset budget reductions.

Funding Description: The State Fiscal Stabilization Fund (SFSF) is intended to avert layoffs of teachers, professors, and other personnel and to further education reform in the key areas of teacher quality, standards and assessments, using longitudinal data to improve instruction, and supporting struggling schools.
